Join The Awkward Club

This post is dedicated to all the awkward moments anyone has ever had.

You may refer to awkwardness as the long silence that follows the terrible jokes I always crack.

Sigh.

I Have Not Abandoned This Blog

It's just that I've been really busy and I'm kind of torn on what to post here.

I shall start with a small idea I had anyway.

Every year, my school has this "Graduation Night" thing where everyone wears pretty little dresses and pose for pictures around a round table. Just check our yearbooks.

But can you not see how much potential this "Graduation Night" can have?

Everyone could have worn some sort of armour like outfit and we can all re-enact Arthurian Legends!

And we've got a round table for it!

Or we can wear really cool chapeaus inspired by stuff in Camelot.

Like a miniature round table on a hat with miniature glasses and things.

CHAPEAUS. I want to wear one once a week.

I've been making cone hats recently like the "Loser" ones but replacing them with "I'm awful at Maths" to wear to school.

However they've gone missing. What a pity because I only used white paper and black markers to make it and it wasn't against school rules because the colours were allowed for hair accessories.

I could pretty much call this post "Story Time 2" but I've obviously decided not to. So instead, I shall just share the story I have prepared.

I wrote another Klaine story, yay! But really, I've written more than one since the last one I wrote but this one I think I'll post here.

Because I like how Rachel is written in this one. It's pretty much Klaine with a side of AnderBerry sibling revolving around the events in a small theatre.

I hope no one has written such thing yet.

If you're confused, the story takes place in both the past and present. And this would be Chapter 1.

Like a prolouge.

Go read it now if you're interested.

It's right below.

It started off as a simple job to sweep up the theatre to earn a little more allowance.

Blaine did not notice the boy walking in.

He noticed the voice though, it was breathtaking and...he’d describe it later when he could think clearly.

But right now, the piercing blue (or green?) eyes were looking back at his as he clutched his broom in a corner near the stage.

“You didn’t clap for me.” the boy sighed, giving his hair a small pat.

“Uh...um, sorry, didn’t hear that.”

“You’ve been here the entire time and you didn’t clap for me.”

“Oh um...sorry. But you were amazing.”

“I know,” he smiled.

Blaine chose to smile back, finding the situation rather familiar.

It started off as a simple, little bit of exploring due to curiosity.

The small girl with the loud voice did not notice him walking in.

“You’ve been here the entire time and you didn’t clap for me?”

“I...uh...sorry! You sing really well though!”

“I know,” she smiled, “My daddies always tell me that. How did you get in here? I didn’t notice you.”

“Oh...um...I...I...uh...snuck in.” He squirmed uncomfortably from where he sat, his voice growing softer as he continued to speak, “Please don’t chase me out!”

“Okay, but I have to let my daddies know you’re here.”

Blaine had ran away during a field trip to Lima with the orphanage he stayed at and ended up in the small theatre owned by the Berry’s.

At that same day, Rachel had discovered adoption at school before coming to the theatre. When she had learnt that Blaine was from an orphanage and was later taken back, she had become very upset. She begged Hiram and Leroy Berry to let her adopt Blaine and constantly whined that she will “never become a star” if they did not let her. Chuckling, Hiram simply explained to Rachel why she herself would not be able to adopt him and would consider giving Blaine a place in their family after making sure they had enough money to support him and got to know him.

Rachel pouted, insisting that she already knew Blaine despite talking to him for a few minutes and then singing to him for the rest of the hour. She understood though. Rachel knew that a star had to be understanding and if they did not have enough money, they would not be able to buy Blaine his own microphone to match hers.

To Hiram and Leroy’s delight, Blaine was a pleasant boy who simply listed singing as one of his hobbies. (“I told you so!” squealed Rachel.) To Rachel’s dismay, Blaine would only join their family months later when the adoption was finalized but she had already told him that she was his sister by then.

She had also told him that she had gotten him a matching sparkly microphone.

When Rachel first saw her daddies walking into the house with Blaine, she threw her arms around him and gave him an enthusiastic welcome. Slightly surprised, Blaine mumbled something that sound like Ouch and thank you.

Despite the fact that Blaine felt terribly confused as Rachel pulled him down to the basement to do a duet from Wicked (“The best musical ever!” exclaimed Rachel.) and had a piece of paper which had printed words on them, shoved into his hands, there was a grin on his face, forgetting that Rachel was barking orders for him to sing the part of Glinda. For Blaine, becoming part of their family was one of the best things that would ever happen to him.

“I have to let my dads know though.”

“Why?”

“Because they own the very stage you are standing on now.”

“Oh, I’ll have to leave don’t I?”

“No, no...just...you can stay.”

“Good to know.”

“I’m Blaine by the way.”

“I’m...Kurt.”

Though Blaine doesn’t know it yet, the very same family had given him the opportunity to experience the other best thing that would ever happen to him.

I think I've gotten some of my facts about adoption wrong but I'll sort it out later.
